Creating and Managing Alerts
Use the Alerts page to create new alerts or to view and manage previously saved alerts.
Double click on any alert row to modify the alert details.
To create a new alert, click the Add New button at the top of the Alerts page.
From the Account section within the alerts configuration wizard, use the dropdown menu to specify the level where the alert will be applied. Alerts can be set at the Firm, Master, Trading Group or Portfolio levels. Firm is the highest level and Portfolio is the lowest level.
Use the check boxes to apply the alert to all accounts or a certain set of accounts:
From the Trigger section, use the dropdown menu to select the parameter to use for the alert.
Next, specify the trigger condition and corresponding value(s). Trigger conditions can be set as greater than, less than, in between or outside of a certain value or values. In the example below, the trigger condition is set to below -10000.
An alert will only trigger once each day unless an alert Reset is configured. If the Reset is triggered, you will receive a notification of the reset and the original alert will be reactivated. The Reset is optional.
From the Reset section, specify a condition which will reset the original alert. Reset conditions can be set as greater than, less than, in between or outside of a certain value or values. In the example below, the reset condition is set to above -5000.
The combined alert and reset sequence:
Trigger the alert when Final MM is below -10000
Reset the alert when Final MM goes back above -5000.
If Final MM drops again to -10000, another alert will be sent.
This cycle of alert/reset will continue until the alert is disabled.
Within the Product section, check the boxes to select Product Categories or specific Products on which to set the alert.
Right clicking on any box will check or uncheck all within the list.
Other Criteria menu - Elect to include only Equities, Futures or Options in the alert by checking the corresponding boxes. You can also elect to only apply the alert to contracts expiring within a specified number of days.
From the Notify section, specify whether an email should be sent for alerts and/or resets. Select who should be notified and manually enter additional emails to receive notifications.
The alert parameters will be outlined in text at the top of the alerts wizard window.
Name the alert and click Save.
Check the boxes to Enable the alert and make it visible to the entire group.
